Riffboard 0.1.0-alpha.2
Notation export from Music View, plus the established capture-and-arrange alpha workflow.

- MusicXML export from Music View → Export Music
- Compressed MusicXML (.mxl) — recommended
- MusicXML (.musicxml)
- Capture with RiffCatch into movable Rifflets on the board
- Connect Rifflets into authored playback sequences
- Music View for reading and print (including OS print-to-PDF)
Updates
- Export includes musical notation and tablature when frets are known; it does not include the source recording
- Exported .mxl files have opened successfully in MuseScore in a smoke test, with standard notation and tablature rendering in a plausibly faithful way
- Local-first storage under %APPDATA%\Riffboard
- Help → Check for Updates remains policy-based and does not auto-download yet
Known limitations
- MusicXML export is available in alpha. Exact transcription fidelity and compatibility across notation applications have not been comprehensively validated
- Transcription targets predominantly monophonic playing in common meters with standard tuning
- Chords, alternate tunings as first-class project settings, score editing, and cloud sync are out of scope for this alpha
- Public download is not open yet
